Be sure to carry your book to and from school in your backpack. If you also carry your
lunch in there, please put your books in a plastic bag first to protect it from spills from
your drinks, squashed bananas, pudding explosions, and other dangerous food mishaps.
Keep your book in a special place at home so that your can find it.
Make sure your hands are clean when handling your books.
Do not eat while reading so that the crumbs and bits of food don't get on your books.
Keep your books away from baby brothers and sisters who don't know how to care for
books, they may color in them or tear them.
Keep your books away from pets who might want to chew on them.
Turn your pages carefully at the top corner.
Use a bookmark to mark your spot, don't turn the corners down.
Never write in your library books.
Return your books as soon as you are finished with them so others may enjoy them.
