Wildwood Library Mission Statement

The mission of the library program is to promote literacy and ensure that students and staff are effective users of information.

This mission is accomplished by providing:

Instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading and in using information and ideas.
Leadership, collaboration, and assistance to teachers and others in the design of library/classroom integrated units.
Access to information through a carefully selected and systematically organized collection of resources in a variety of formats that represent a wide range of subjects, cultural diversity and a variety of reading levels.
Learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
A program that functions as the information center of the school.
