The Amherst School Committee will consist of five (5) members, each elected on a non-partisan ballot by the people for terms of three (3)years. The School Committee is a policy-making body for the Amherst Public School System.
The Pelham School Committee will consist of three (3) members, each elected on a non-partisan ballot by the people for terms of three (3)years. The School Committee is a policy-making body for the Pelham Public School System.
The Regional School Committee will consist of nine (9) members. Five(5) Regional School Committee members are members of the Amherst School Committee, two (2) are members of the Pelham School Committee, one (1)is a member of the Leverett School Committee, and one (1) is a member of the Shutesbury School Committee. The Regional School Committee members from Pelham, Leverett, and Shutesbury are selected by their respective School Committees. The Regional School Committee is a policy-making body for the Amherst-Pelham Regional Public School System.
