Minor wording changes to a School Committee policy may be made by the Superintendent or by his/her designee without requiring two readings at School Committee meetings and without requiring a vote by the School Committee. A wording change is defined as minor if the change only: 1)corrects grammar, punctuation, or spelling, 2) corrects or updates position titles, 3) corrects or updates school or district names, 4) replaces masculine pronouns with gender-neutral pronouns or with pronouns for both genders, 5) adds or corrects contact information, or 6) adds or corrects the reference to an applicable law.
Copies of the corrected policy will be provided to the School Committee at the next School Committee meeting.
