The Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee and the Amherst and Pelham School Committees, the latter two cooperatively through the Union #26 School Committee, shall jointly appoint a Superintendent of Schools. Such appointment shall be confirmed in a written Contract of Employment which shall include terms and conditions of employment.
The Superintendent of Schools shall serve as:
A written job description, outlining the qualifications and responsibilities of the Superintendent of Schools will be developed by the School Committees and periodically reviewed by them.
The Superintendent is designated a managerial and confidential employee in regards to collective bargaining as defined in Chapter 150E of Mass. legislation.
