Transportation
The transportation department operates and maintains a fleet of twelve school buses and nine school vans. Both the buses and vans are used daily to transport students to and from school, both in Amherst and to outside placements. The department also provides transportation to athletic and cultural events, both locally and out of state.
We are not obligated by law to provide transportation for students who are not resident members of our districts or who live less than 1.5 miles from the schools.
Bus routes reverse in the afternoon to allow the majority of the riders to exit the bus as soon as possible, unless road conditions do not allow it. Routes accommodate road conditions, potential turnarounds, and underpasses in inclement weather. Students are bused in their district within their school boundary.
PLEASE NOTE: Any changes to your address MUST be submitted through the Registrar's Office.

UPDATE: August 25, 2026: Due to a software change, the bus routes look a little different this year. ARPS Central Office is working to send each family their student(s)'s route information via ParentSquare. Stay tuned for updates.
UPDATE August 27, 2026: Morning Routes for ARHS/ARMS have been updated. Updates will continue to occur regularly. Due to this, please check this page daily.
UPDATE September 1, 2026: The Hitchcock Center and Hampshire Gymnastics are now stops in the Crocker Farm afternoon routes. The Hitchcock Center is now on CF19(towards the end of the route), and Hampshire Gymnastics is now on CF7 (the first stop after leaving Crocker Farm)
